SINGLE-STAGE AMPI AIRBAG INFLATORS
VOI's Advanced Multi-Purpose Single Stage Inflators, available for driver, passenger and side airbags, represent a quantum leap in airbag technology, with multiple advantages over today's standard fixed-output airbag inflators.
Employing the same revolutionary, high-output liquid propellant that is used in our Variable Output Inflators, VOI's Single-Stage Inflators emit no smoke, no solid particulates and extremely low effluent content. Once ignited, 100% of the liquid propellent is converted into extremely clean gas which meets all USCAR effluent requirements. In addition to preventing motorists' allergic reactions, this enables the use of light and uncoated airbag material.
VOI's Single-Stage inflators offer minimal temperature sensitivity in the operating range of –40 ˚C to 90˚C, compared with other inflators. This feature provides an important reliability factor to vehicle occupants.
The uniform design of our Single-Stage Inflators for driver, passenger and side airbags, as well as the minimal number of components, enables reducing the complexity and cost of adapting to different airbag modules.
